🌿 How the Program Works
This is a 3-hour program delivered over 3 sessions:
Session 1 – Counselling (1 hour)
We talk through your grief, loss, emotions, and what you are struggling with. This helps you feel supported and understood. This counselling session is provided by Tara J Clarke, who is not only a hypnotherapist but also a Master’s qualified counsellor and member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA). Counselling is a non-diagnostic, supportive process focused on emotional wellbeing, self-awareness, and coping strategies. If you would like to learn more about counselling, click here.
Session 2 & 3 – Hypnotherapy (1 hours each)
A deeper session that helps your mind process grief and emotional pain.
We work gently with subconscious patterns linked to sadness, guilt, or trauma. Every clients situation and grief state is differernt. If you need more counselling, then we will move onto the hypnotherapy session when you are ready. For example: this program is flexible and may become 2 counselling session with 2 hypnotherapy sessions or 3 counselling sessions with one hypnotherapy session at the end. Session 4 – Counselling (1 hour)
This final session helps to reinforce emotional healing and stability and to make sure you are on track.
It may be counselling or hypnotherapy depending on your goals to moving forward to getting onto the path to being a better and happier version of yourself.

Grief is a natural response to loss. It can include sadness, anger, confusion, guilt, and numbness.
Common stages of grief include:

Not wanting to believe the loss happened.
Example: A client who lost a pet might say, "I can't believe Fluffy is gone."

Feeling upset or mad about the loss.
Example: A client might feel angry at themselves or blame others after a breakup.

Bargaining
Explanation: Thinking "If only I did this, maybe it wouldn’t have happened."
Example: A client who lost a loved one might think, "If only I had called them more."

Explanation: Feeling very sad, tired, or hopeless.
Example: A client might lose interest in things they used to enjoy after losing a job.

Acceptance
Explanation: Understanding the loss and starting to live with it.
Example: A client begins to remember the good times with a lost friend and feels more peaceful.

Important: Everyone experiences these stages in different ways and orders. Some might stay longer in one stage or skip others. It's normal to feel different things at different times

She is a Palm Cove Local and has been living in the Cairns area for over 20 years. Tara is also a Holistic Counsellor with a Diploma in Holistic Counselling and Masters in Counselling.
She works in a calm, supportive way to help people process emotional trauma, grief, and anxiety.

What is Grief Hypnotherapy?
Grief hypnotherapy is a gentle therapy that helps you process emotional pain after loss by working with the subconscious mind.
How many sessions do I need?
This program includes 4 hours of support across 4 sessions. Every person experiences grief differently, so each program is tailored with care to suit the individual needs of the client.
Depending on where you are in your healing journey, your sessions may include a combination of counselling and hypnotherapy. For example:

2 counselling sessions and 2 hypnotherapy sessions,

1 counselling session and 3 hypnotherapy sessions,

or 3 counselling sessions and 1 hypnotherapy session.
There is no “right” or “wrong” way to move through grief. Some clients may need more emotional support through counselling, while others may benefit more from hypnotherapy. Tara works compassionately with each client to create a safe, supportive approach that feels right for them.
While most clients find that 4 sessions provides meaningful support and progress, additional sessions may be recommended depending on your personal circumstances and healing needs and many different underlying beliefs. Each client is met with understanding, empathy, and respect throughout the process.
Can I just pay per session instead of the full amount up front?
Grief and loss usually require more than one session, which is why Tara offers a structured support plan that includes both counselling and hypnotherapy. By having the 4 sessions inside a plan, you are receiving a substantial discount offer.
Beginning with counselling helps create a strong foundation before moving into hypnotherapy, allowing you to feel supported while working toward deeper, lasting change.
For most of Tara's clients, the 4-session plan has provided the best results. However, every person’s situation is unique as each and every person is at a different stage of the greif process. If you feel you may only need a smaller number of sessions, you are welcome to reach out for a chat to discuss the best option for you.
Can hypnotherapy remove grief?
No, for most completely hypnotherapy will not remove grief completely. Grief is a natural human response to loss, and it cannot — and should not — be removed.
Grief is the mind and body’s way of processing love, attachment, change, and meaning. It often comes in waves, and for many people it can feel intense, overwhelming, or unpredictable.
Hypnotherapy does not erase grief or remove memories. Instead, it helps you change how your mind and body respond to grief over time.
